An artist's rendition of a suspension bridge that will span the Aizhai Gorge on the Jishou-Chadong Expressway in west Hunan Province. The bridge's main span is designed to reach 1,176 meters.     沿着吉首矮寨公路奇观，汽车爬上矮寨坡顶，今日，“解放思想在湖南”采访团来到吉茶高速矮寨悬索桥施工现场。只见挖土机不停作业，运输车来回穿梭，热闹非凡。矮寨悬索桥是吉首至茶洞高速公路跨越矮寨大峡谷的一座特大型桥梁，其主跨长度位居世界第三、亚洲第一。
　　
　　矮寨悬索桥桥距吉首市区约２０公里，跨越矮寨镇附近的山谷，德夯河流经谷底，桥面设计标高与地面高差达３３０米左右。桥型方案为钢桁加劲梁单跨悬索桥，全长1073.65m，悬索桥的主跨为1176m，总投资约7.2亿元，由湖南路桥集团承建。[Rednet.cn]
