Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China will go into effect on June 1,2009. On May 23, Hunan provincial government held a conference on the implementation of the PRC Food Safety Law and PRC Agricultural Product Quality Safety Law. Experts in agricultural legislation were invited to give relevant speeches.

　　The Food Safety Law embodies the guiding thoughts of precaution first, scientific management, clear responsibility and comprehensive treatment. Many basic systems such as food safety monitoring and risk evaluation, etc. and food safety supervision and management system of combining division of labor and responsibility with unification are established in the Law, providing all-round legal guarantees to enhance food safety.

　　It is required by Hunan Provincial Government that the two Laws to be propagated and implemented in all aspects of the society. By doing so the agricultural product quality safety will be further improved.PRC Food Safety Law to Go into Effect on June 1.
