  On the morning of November 29, the external flyover and traffic network construction project of Huanghua International Airport was officially launched. Vice Hunan Governor Chen Zhaoxiong attended the launching ceremony.

  This project covers a wide range of construction such as roads, bridges, subways, drainage and illumination system, traffic facilities and pipelines. With the airport highway on the west, this project aims to stretch eastward to the viaduct near the new airport terminal, northward to the existing signal lamp, and southward to the newly-built sewage treatment station. Besides, all roads are designed to meet the requirements set for the first-grade urban arterial roads and the first-grade car lanes.

  The construction area of bridges totals some 20,000 square meters and road area about 40,000 square meters. With the gross budget of 260 million yuan, this 14-month project will be finished and put into use at the same time as the new airport terminal is completed.

  Related personnel expressed that, undertaking the mission of ensuring the security and smoothness of the traffic connected to the Huanghua International airport, this project will accelerate Changsha's airport construction and provide transportation guarantee for the accomplishment of the new airport terminal building.

  该项目包括道路、桥梁、地道、排水、照明、交通及配套、管线综合等工程,西起机场高速公路,东接新航站楼高架桥及到达层,北至机场现有信号灯,南至新建污水处理站,道路设计标准为城市I级主干道和一级汽车专用道。
  
  其中桥梁总面积约2万平方米,道路总面积约4万平方米,工期14个月,投资总预算2.6亿人民币。该项目将与新航站楼同时建成、同步投入使用。
  
  
高速公路对接机场
  
  柳小辉介绍,现有进出黄花国际机场的道路主要有两条高速公路,一条是双向4车道的机场高速路,从西向东进入机场,长株潭、衡阳及娄底方向的客流和机场大巴一般都走此高速;另一条是双向4车道的长永高速联络线,从北向南进入机场,主要是北长沙(包括星沙)、长常高速沿线、湘北(岳阳等地)及浏阳方向的客流。
  
  根据新航站楼建设规划,楼前设包括4个上下引桥、引道的半立交桥,解决未来机场路上交通。柳小辉介绍,机场高速左右幅道路直接与新航站楼进出引桥相接,形成一个机场高速进出新航站楼的环行系统。机场路下穿机场高速进出新航站楼的环行系统并继续向南延伸。
  
  在机场路与机场高速进出新航站楼的环行系统内,设置一个半径为70米的大型转盘,分别与机场路由南向北的半幅路、机场高速进出新航站楼的环行系统相接,完成长永高速进出新航站楼、机场高速进出航站楼的交通组织。新航站楼出口高架桥设置半径为45米的匝道,解决新航站楼回长永高速的交通。
