Changsha to Inject 36.8 Bln Yuan in 148 Key Projects in 2014

On April 11, it was revealed from the Changsha Working Conference on "Six Spearheads" Key Projects that Changsha is expected to inject 36.8 billion yuan in 148 key projects in 2014. 94 Ninety-four projects have been launched in the first quarter of this year, with the investment of 9.47 billion yuan and , an operating rate of 63.5%.

According to an official of Changsha Key Project Coordination Office, with the governmental investment, the construction of superstructure of 9 nine stations and two-line shield tunnels in 8 eight sections of Subway Line 1 project has been completed. The first-phase project of Subway Line 2 will begin its trial operation soon, and sections of Subway Line 3 have been under construction. Full preparation has been made for the initial project of building Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center. Changsha has also completed the third-phase construction of water release sluices in building the Navigation and Hydropower Hub along the Xiangjiang River, the masonry of the first and second floor of the Integrated Passenger Terminal on the west bank of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, and the concrete pouring of its transit zone. The key industrial projects under social nongovernmental investment including Shanghai Volkswagen, GAC Mitsubishi and Gree Electric Appliances have proceeded smoothly.
