  The Chinese Bridge Speech Competition is full of the colour of China's vibrant culture, featuring speech, music, song and drama.

  The 2014 Secondary and Intermediate School competitions for the Auckland region will be held on Saturday, May 10. Registration has now closed.

  The 2014 Tertiary Hanyuqiao Chinese Bridge Speech Competition for the Auckland region was held on Saturday, May 3. Registration has now closed.

  The “Chinese Bridge” Speech Competition is a highlight on the Confucius Institute calendar and is held annually in Auckland at regional level, with a national final.

National winners compete in televised finals in China

  Entrants compete in the Intermediate (Years 7-10), Secondary (Years 11-13) or Tertiary categories.

  Winners of the tertiary and secondary categories are funded to represent New Zealand in glamorous, televised world finals in China

Intermediate and Secondary Categories:

  The Intermediate and Secondary Categories are open to students of Chinese language who are currently studying at any New Zealand school.

  Students at all levels of ability are encouraged to participate.

Tertiary Category:

  The Tertiary Category is open to students of any NZQA registered New Zealand Tertiary institute.
