Cross-Straits Media to Cover Dongting Lake

The 11th "Cross-Strait Media Joint Interview in Hunan" was officially held in Changsha on July 29. Twenty-two cross-Strait media from Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China will visit Yueyang City, Changde City and Yiyang City around Dongting Lake to cover the economic and ecological development of "Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone".

The media delegation visited Chenglingji port, Yunxi fine industrial park, Yueyang Tower and learned about protection of finless porpoise in Yueyang on the afternoon of July 29. Next, they would go to Changde and Yiyang to cover local ecological and economic construction, and then to Fenghuang of western Hunan in order to experience Hunan folk customs, ending the trip on August 4.

Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao stated that "Cross-Strait Media Joint Interview in Hunan" has been held successfully ten times, which has efficiently promoted exchange and cooperation between Hunan and Taiwan. He hoped the joint interview could present the ecology and grace of Donting Lake to compatriots across the Taiwan Strait.
