Governor Du Meets NASG Director for Continued Support

  Du Jiahao, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with a delegation led by Kurexi Maihesuti, vice minister of the Ministry of Land and Resources and director of the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation of China (NASG) on August 28, 2015.

  Governor Du extended gratitude to the Ministry of Land and Resources for its long-term support to Hunan's reform and development, especially to land resource management, geological disaster treatment and surveying, mapping and geoinformation. He said that surveying, mapping and geoinformation has been applied to various fields in society and brought profound changes to people's production and lifestyle. He was confident of this sector's development prospects and market space. He hoped that the Ministry of Land and Resources and the NASG will give continuous support to Hunan so that the province will make full use of its competitiveness in industry, scientific research, talents and big data processing and make joint efforts in promoting the development of this sector.

  Kugesi Maikosu said that the NASG will deepen cooperation with Hunan and strengthen support on policy, fund and technology to fuel the advancement of emerging industries such as surveying, mapping and geoinformation and Beidou navigation satellite in the province.
