     Rednet (Huaihua): Liu Yushuang, a 62-year-old senior citizen of Zhijiang County, came to the Letters and Visits Bureau of Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County for her petition September 23, the worker who accepted her visiting there was Xu Shousheng, secretary of Hunan provincial committee of CPC and director of the Standing Committee of Hunan People’s Congress.

     Secretary Xu comes to Zhijiang for a field investigation on the work of petition letters and visits, and he listened to the petition demands of the masses face-to-face. He stressed that the work of petition letters and visits from public can only be strengthened not weakened under the new situation, and the work should be done with really emotion and concerns, with responsibility and attitude of face to face, heart to heart, with the spirit of reform and innovation, by the rule of law. The mass work should safeguard people’s legitimate rights, in order to enhance people’s sense of satisfaction and happiness.
