Six Hunan embroidery masters have created a wedding dress and screen for Xin Zhui after working for 144 hours day and night recently. The works were made by adopting traditional embroidery techniques of Qin and Han dynasties. They will make their debut through a traditional wedding of Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) in Hunan (Changsha) International Collection Industry Expo on April 15.

  Background information:

Xin Zhui, also known as Lady Dai or Marquise of Dai, was the wife of Li Cang, the Marquis of Dai, during the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). She gained fame more than 2,000 years after her death, when her tomb was discovered inside a hill known as Mawangdui, in Changsha, Hunan, China. After opening the tomb, workers discovered her exceptionally preserved remains alongside hundreds of valuable artifacts and documents. Her body and belongings are currently under the care of the Hunan Provincial Museum (the museum is under renovation), which has allowed occasional international exhibits. (Source: en.wikipedia.org)
