Xu Calls for Benefiting People with Public Cultural Services

Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Xu Shousheng visits the Public Cultural Service Center of Xiajia New Village Community, Changsha City, Hunan Province on April 20, 2016.

On the morning of April 20, 2016, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Xu Shousheng visited a number of provincial and municipal landmarks of cultural construction projects, artistic institutes and troupes directly under the Provincial Government, and community public cultural service centers, to inspect the progress of the modern public cultural service system building. Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Xu Yousheng, and Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Zhang Wenxiong accompanied the visit.

“Public cultural services should conform to the times and correspond with the people’s expectations,” Xu said, “Concerted efforts should be made to keep reforming and innovating, and improve public cultural service competences. In this way, people’s feeling of happiness will be improved.”
