A Special Chinese Art Season Launched in Zhangjiajie

The press conference on Chinese Art Season and Chinese Music Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Prize was held at the Dragon Palace Hall of Huanglong Cave, Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area on the evening of June 6, 2016. It was the world’s first press conference held at a natural cave.

The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area was listed as a world natural heritage in 1992.

Four contests will be arranged during the event, including National Youth Piano Grand Prix, National Band Grand Prix, National Chorus Grand Prix, and National Square Dance Competition. The total prize of the four contests will hit a record high in Chinese art competition to reach 3.126 million yuan. Among the total, 994,000 yuan is expected to go to winners of National Youth Piano Grand Prix; 750,000 yuan to winners of National Band Grand Prix, 722,000 yuna to winners of National Chorus Grand Prix, and 660,000 yuan to winners of National Square Dance Competition.

The registration for these activities has been launched since June 6, 2016. The competitions will officially take place from July 21 to September 28.
