Jingzhou County holds a series of performances to celebrate the China’s 11th Culture Heritage Day at Waxberry Ecological Museum.

On June 11, performances on intangible cultural heritage were staged at Waxberry Ecological Museum in Jingzhou County. The venue was swarmed with visitors.  
 
Jingzhou County boasts one item of national intangible cultural heritage “Ge Teng of Miao Minority” (Teng is a kind of drum beating sound and Ge Teng is a kind of song sung by men and women in antiphonal style.), two items at provincial level “Carved Preserved Fruit” and “Lusheng Music of Miao and Dong Minorities”, 11 ones at city level and more than 30 ones at county level. 
 
The event enabled citizens to have a general and thorough understanding of the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage which were publicized via diversified forms such as posters, works demonstration and on-site performances. Therefore Citizens may enhance their sense of responsibility and happiness in inheriting and protecting intangible cultural heritage when participating in these activities.
