Hunan Sets forth Plans for Protecting Xiangjiang River

On the morning of Aug. 24, Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao convened the first plenary meeting of the Committee of Xiangjiang River Protection and Treatment in 2016. The meeting set forth plans for the second three-year action plan of No. 1 Project of Hunan to protect and harness Xiangjiang River. 

Governor Du urged the province to make persistent efforts and initiatives to protect the river, so as to further bring along more protection and improvement of the province’s mountains, rivers, forest, land and lakes which form a community of shared life. A prosperous and happy new Hunan with good ecological environment of lucid waters and lush mountains will therefore be built. 

Other provincial leaders including Chen Xiangqun, Dai Daojin and Xiang Lili attended the meeting.
