Changsha to Be Built into National Central City in Next Five Years

　　On behalf of the 12th CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Yi Lianhong reports to the Thirteenth Session of Changsha Municipal People’s Congress of CPC.

　　The Thirteenth Session of Changsha Municipal People’s Congress of CPC was held on Sept. 25, 2016. It was learned from the meeting that Changsha planned to build itself into a national central city in the next five years to achieve phase objectives of initial modernization.

　　A national central city is in charge of leading, developing, and performing tasks in political, economic, and cultural, scientific and diplomatic aspects.

　　On behalf of the 12th CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Yi Lianhong delivered a speech on working hard for building Changsha into a national central city and achieving initial modernization by implementing new development ideas and taking initiatives.

　　Yi stated that in order to achieve the targets, greater efforts will be made to develop a national intelligent manufacturing center, a national innovation and creativity center and a national transportation and logistics hub in Changsha to increase its economic aggregate and urban capacity, strengthen economic competitiveness, improve ecological environment and make more benefits for residents.
