Number of National 4A-level Scenic Spots in Hunan Reaches 97

  Six new scenic spots in Hunan Province were approved as national 4A level, adding the total number of its kind to 97, as was announced by the Tourism Development Committee of Hunan Province recently.

  In specific, the six newly added scenic spots are: Laosicheng Site of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Former Residence of Lin Boqu and Pengshan Mountain Scenic Area of Changde City, Shunhuang Mountain Scenic Area of Yongzhou City, and Yuanling Fengtan Scenic Area and Tongdao Soldier Transfer Site of Huaihua City.

  In addition, 14 scenic spots of Hunan Province have been listed in the recently issued “National Classic Red Tourism Scenic Spot Directory”, namely the former residence and memorial hall of Mao Zedong in Shaoshan, the former residence and memorial hall of Peng Dehuai in Xiangtan County, the former residence of Luo Ronghuan in Hengdong County, the original site of Hunan-Hubei-Sichuan-Guizhou revolutionary base area in Yongshun County, the original site of Dongshan School in Xiangxiang, Tongdao meeting site of the Red Army’s Long March in Huaihua, Nanyue Martyrs Temple, the original site of the Acceptance of the Japanese Surrender in Memory of the Victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall in Zhijiang County, the former residence and exhibition hall of Hu Yaobang in Liuyang, and red tourism scenic spots in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Yueyang, Chenzhou, and Zhangjiajie.
