Hunan’s Fireworks and Crackers Realizes First Direct Shipment Export

　　A total of 50 containers that were loaded with fireworks and crackers produced in Liuyang departed from Chenglingji Port to Hong Kong on Jan. 6, 2017, according to the Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. It marked Hunan’s first mass export of fireworks and crackers by direct shipment.

　　Traditionally, the export of Hunan’s fireworks and crackers needs to transfer via Shanghai Port or Jiangsu’s Taicang Port to other places. This makes delivery time uncontrollable. However, the export of fireworks and crackers from Chenglingji Port to Hong Kong adopted direct shipment and completed custom clearance in Hunan by conducting inspection in Liuyang and passing through at Yueyang’s Chenglingji Port.

　　After starting shipment at Chenglingjie Port, the fireworks and crackers will be exported to Hong Kong in ten days. Compared with the traditional export method, the direct shipment mode will sharply shorten shipping time and reduce 30% of the costs.

　　The export of annual freight volume of fireworks and crackers by direct shipment at Chenglingji Port reaches as many as 7000 TEUs, accounting for half of the total exports of fireworks and crackers of the province.
