Turkish President and Prime Minister Operate Hunan-made Train

　　A ceremony was held at Belediye Municipal Government square in Ankara, capital of Turkey, to mark the opening of Metro Line 4 (M4), on the afternoon of January 5 local time. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim were present at the ceremony, and tried to operate the metro train which was produced by CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd.

　　CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive won an order of 324 Ankara metro trains in August 2012, and delivered the trains to M1, M2, and M3 metro lines in succession since July 2013. As of now, the total mileage of these trains has exceeded 67.85 million km. In 2016, the metro lines carried over 74 million passengers, which remarkably eased the traffic pressure of downtown Ankara. The locals spoke highly of these Hunan-made trains for their comfort and safety, especially humanized facilities for the disabled, pregnant, and sick passengers.

　　“The operation of Ankara metro lines indicates a prosperous Turkish market for Hunan’s rail transit industry,” said Tan Changqing, general manager of the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive in Turkey business. The rest trains as contracted will be assembled and debugged locally, and the first batch of completed trains will be delivered by the end of 2017.
