Green Development Annual Meeting Kicks off in Changsha

  Top ten excellent models serving for public welfare on the stage

  The green development annual meeting of ecological and environmental protection organizations of Hunan Province 2016, themed on “Green Living to Improve Ecological Environment”, was held at the Broad Town of Changsha City from January 8 to 9, 2017. Representatives of nearly 100 ecological and environmental protection organizations from cities and prefecture across the province, together with more than 300 people from all walks of life attended the meeting, including officials from relevant government departments, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and media editors. They discussed heated topics during the two-day intensive session, which is also the second crossover event in such field.

  The Event was instructed by Construction and Management Commission of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Pilot Zone for Developing Resource-conserving and Environment-friendly Society, People’s Procuratorate of Hunan Province, Environmental Protection Department of Hunan Province, Department of Forestry of Hunan Province, and Hunan Provincial Communist Youth League Committee, and initiated and organized by Alashan Society of Entrepreneurs &Ecology (SEE) Hunan Project Center and HEF. The Leading Group Office for Mother River Protection of Hunan Province, Hunan Buddhism and Charity Foundation, Hunan Ecological Society, and BROAD Group, as well as other enterprises such as Hunan Keli Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. jointly organized or supported the activities.

  Theme summit and other six major forums on “zero waste”, “natural education”, “linkage mechanism”, “business intelligence”, “new ideas of environmental protection fundraising”, and “frontline volunteers’ new media publicizing and risk prevention and control” were launched. The number of enterprises and NGOs participating in the summit and forums both hit a record high.
