Secretary Du Joins Panel Discussion with Deputies from Zhuzhou

Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Du Jiahao discusses government report with delegates of Zhuzhou City on the afternoon of Jan. 15, 2017. Other provincial leaders Sheng Ronghua, Chen Junwen, and zhang Jianfei attended the meeting.

　　When joining discussion with Zhuzhou City Delegation, Secretary Du highlighted innovation-oriented development. He emphasized the need to take the new development idea as a guide, seize the opportunity to do pragmatic work, and strive to add Zhuzhou’s contribution to the innovative progress, integration of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster, revitalization of the real economy, and transformation via green development.

　　During group deliberation, the deputies delivered comments and made suggestions from the perspectives of their job responsibilities and based on the actual development conditions of Zhuzhou. Secretary Du listened carefully, and exchanged ideas on some specific issues with them.

　　Du praised Zhuzhou for its economic and social development achievements in recent years. He said that under the new normal of economic development, innovation has become an inevitable requirement and a distinctive feature. Zhuzhou, as an important industrial base in the province, should accelerate playing its exemplary role in innovative advancement. The development ideas of innovation, coordination, green, opening-up, and sharing should be taken as a guideline for the work in progress and in the future, adding that innovation capacity elevation and industrial development promotion should be taken as important parts in performance evaluation. The city should rely on its sound industrial base and rich human resources, to further create a favorable platform, improve a good mechanism for innovation, and constantly stimulate innovation and vitality of the whole society.
