Hunan Takes the Lead in PPP Projects Nationwide

　　The Municipal Solid Waste Power Plant of Hengyang City is one of the second batch of demonstrative Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) of the PRC. It has officially put into operation since Dec. 21, 2016 and won five million yuan of PPP special funds from the MOF. Hunan witnessed smooth progress on PPP projects in 2016. In specific, six projects have been awarded an aid capital of 32.32 million yuan, accounting for 12% of the total that have been allocated to the province by the Ministry.

　　Hunan Province has put forward 199 provincial-level PPP demonstrative projects in three batches, with a total investment of 31.09 billion yuan, as was released on the national comprehensive PPP information service platform. By the end of 2016, the signing rate of the first two groups of demonstration projects had reached 76.8%, and implementation rate close to 50%, nearly 20 percentage points higher than the national average level, thus taking the lead nationwide.
