Hunan, AVIC Sign Agreement to Boost Aviation Industry

　　The People’s Government of Hunan Province and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the afternoon of Feb. 22, 2017. The two sides will carry out comprehensive collaboration in multiple levels and with different forms, such as the aviation industry park construction, aircraft key sub-system R &D, supporting facilities for aviation parts and key basic materials, and aviation comprehensive maintenance.

　　Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor of Hunan Province Xu Dazhe met in Changsha with AVIC General Manager Tan Ruisong, and witnessed the signing ceremony. Vice Governor Zhang Jianfei and AVIC Deputy General Manager Chen Yuanxian signed the agreement on behalf of either side. Vice Governor and Secretary General Yang Guangrong also attended the ceremony.

　　Under the agreement, both sides will extend comprehensive cooperation in various fields. Firstly, a comprehensive aviation maintenance and service industry base will be jointly established in Ningxiang County of Changsha City. Secondly, the AVIC Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Corp. is to be built into a world-class professional take-off and landing system supplier integrated with a full value chain of design, manufacturing, testing, and services. Thirdly, the AVIC Changsha Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. is to be built as a specialized regional service center, providing investment, consulting, planning, design, supervision, construction and informatization services for the AVIC. Finally, both sides will jointly support civil-military integration of the aviation manufacturing industry.
