Registration Opens for 2017 Xiangjiang Marathon

　　Organizers of the 2017 Xiangjiang Marathon are opening registration on March 5, according to Changsha Sports Bureau on March 4.

　　The Marathon will be held in four places, with maximum of 5000 participants in Changsha, and 3000 participants in Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and Hengyang for each. It was scheduled to be launched in April 22, May 6, May 13, and May 20 respectively.

　　Changsha will set up a city games team to compete for the first gold medal of the Ninth Games of Changsha.

　　Besides 10-km city course and 42.195-km city point race in Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and Hengyang, short-distance happy run will be organized to encourage participation.

　　In addition to competitions in the four stages, a series of activities will be held like pre-competition online training camp, running knowledge publicity, and selection of city spokesperson, most popular running team and most influential running team leader.
