The “East Asia City of Culture, Happy Changsha” folk music concert is given by the China National Traditional Orchestra in Changsha Concert Hall on April 18.

  The “East Asia City of Culture, Happy Changsha” folk music concert was held at Changsha Concert Hall on the evening of April 18, 2017. More than 1100 people including Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee Ouyang Bin, Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Culture Department Yan Fuchu, Changsha government leaders, Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin, Kyoto Vice Mayor Satoshi Uemura, Ministry of Culture heads, and representatives from the cities which have been designated as East Asian Cultural City (or candidate city), including Quanzhou, Qingdao, Ningbo, Harbin, and Sanya watched the performance.

  The concert was a musical feast. Classical musical compositions familiar to Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean audiences were staged, including China’s "Jasmine", "A Moonlit Night on the Spring River", South Korea’s "Alirang", Japan’s "Spring of the Northland" and "Sakura", and Hunan’s "Liuyang River".
