On July 14, China-aid South Sudan Education & Technology Cooperation Project obtained new progress. The first-batch 745,000 textbooks in 37 categories, as well as ICT equipments provided for the teacher training center were arrived in Juba, capital of South Sudan. These teaching materials will benefit to 100,000 teachers and students in South Sudan. The second-batch 554,000 textbooks in 43 categories are expected to be printed at the end of 2017.

2016年11月23日,由商务部立项主导、中南出版传媒集团股份有限公司具体承担、天闻数媒科技有限公司统筹执行的国内首个综合性教育援外项目实施协议在南苏丹首都朱巴签署。根据合作,该项目总共为南苏丹援助印制教材129.9万册,这些教材预计将为15万南苏丹教师和学生所用,约占该国师生人数的约10%。
This project is China’s first comprehensive China-aid foreign project in education, approved by Ministry of Commerce, PRC, undertaken by China South Publishing & Media Group. On November 23, 2016, the project’s implementing agreement was signed in Juba. This project will provide a total of 1,299,000 printed textbooks for South Sudan, which are estimated to serve 150,000 teachers and students in South Sudan, occupying about 10% of all South Sudan’s teachers and students.
