　　Between August 14 and 16, CPC Central Committee Political Bureau Standing Committee member and China's National People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhang Dejiang led an inspection team to visit Hunan. The team, accompanied by CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary and Hunan Provincial Congress Standing Committee Director Du Jiahao and CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Deputy Secretary and Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe, investigated law enforcement on the prevention and control of solid waste pollution in Chenzhou, Yiyang, and Changsha.

　　Zhang called for thoroughly implementing President Xi Jinping’s important speeches on environmental protection, comprehensively practicing the law on the prevention and control of environmental pollution by solid waste, and working together to promote solid waste management. He also asked local authorities to step up efforts to prevent and control solid waste pollution, and improve the green industry and circular economy.
