2017 Tourism Cooperation Among Cities Along Silk Road and High-speed Rails Launched

  The conference on tourism cooperation among cities along Silk Road and high-speed railways was held in Shannxi’s Baoji City between August 15 and 17, 2017. Changsha, together with other 32 cities released "Cities Along Silk Road and High-speed Railways Tourism Cooperation Declaration", marking the launching of "tourism + high-speed rail + city" cooperation mode.

  Representatives of relevant cities from Shannxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Fujian, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Henan, Shanxi, Sichuan, Anhui, Hunan, Shandong, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps attended.

  Exchange activities including city promotions, a symposium on travel route design, and a roundtable conference for tourism bureau heads were organized. Relevant tourism authority representatives reached a consensus on promoting tourism cooperation. They suggested such cities establishing a "Preferential Day" and scenic spots "Free Admission Day" to increase the people benefited from discounts.

  Changsha introduced its four core tourism brands of "millennium ancient city", "origin of porcelain", "hometown of great men", and "fashion city". At the roundtable conference, Changsha tourism bureau head said, "We will cooperate with other cities to promote Silk Road-themed tourism."
