8th China (Hunan) Tourism Expo to Launch in Xiangxi

The press conference on the 8th China (Hunan) Tourism Expo is held in Changsha on August 28, 2017.

　　The 8th China (Hunan) Tourism Expo will be launched in Jishou, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, from Sept. 18 to 21, 2017. Nine themed activities will showcase Hunan’s tourism development.

　　The Expo is hosted by the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, and organized by Hunan Tourism Development Committee, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture People’s Government, and Hunan Daily.

　　The 20,000-sqm exhibition hall consists of 100 special designed booths and 200 international standard booths. About 300 exhibitors will participate. There are three exhibition areas – specially designed area, tourism-driven poverty alleviation area, and tourist equipment debuting area.

　　Xiangxi culture characteristics will be displayed in the exhibition hall design, to present the "original ecology of nature and humanity". Environmentally friendly materials will be used, highlighting "zero-carbon" concept.

　　On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of Xiangxi Prefecture, the Expo provides "Xiangxi Tourism Gift Packs", and 10,000 free admission chances. Travelers who drive, or follow the travel agencies, to the Expo will have the opportunity to get the "Gift Packs".

　　1. "Xiangxi Gifts" Tourist Commodity Selection

　　The selected commodities will be displayed between Sept. 19 and 21. The awarding ceremony will be held on Sept. 21.

　　2. Hunan Tourist Commodity Selection

　　The selected commodities will be displayed between Sept. 17 and 18. The awarding ceremony will be held on Sept. 21.

　　3. First Wuling Mountain Tourism Development Summit Forum
