Governor Xu Dazhe Inspects Zhuzhou Aviation Industry Development

  Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe inspected Zhuzhou’s aviation industry development on August 30, 2017. During his stay, he attended the Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) Southern Airlines Power Industrial Park ground-breaking ceremony and announced its official start.

  AECC President Cao Jianguo delivered a speech. Hunan Provincial People’s Government Secretary General Wang Qun was present.

  Governor Xu visited AECC Hunan Aviation Powerplant Research Institute and AECC South Industry Co., Ltd., to inspect aero engine test bed, assembly center, and aero bearing machining center. He also visited the laboratories jointly established by enterprises and Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and learned about the civil-military integrated projects collaborated by Hunan Farsoon Technologies, Seed Technologies Corp., Ltd., Central South University, and Hunan University.

  Xu expected AECC to actively enhance matchmaking and cooperation with Hunan enterprises, universities, and research institutes. He believed all the parties would tackle key scientific research projects and expand market to meet national strategic needs and market demand. He hoped they would fuel the provincial aviation industry progress, to promote Hunan manufacturing to a new level.

  The Industrial Park is located at the Aviation Town, China Power Valley, Zhuzhou City, covering an area of 600 mu (40 ha.) and a planned construction area of 23.8 million square meters. The advanced manufacturing technology demonstration center, intelligent manufacturing unit, and digital assembly and whole set machine test center were also planned. Its PhaseⅠproject was expected to be put into operation in December 2018. Upon completion, it will meet the “two major machines” (aircraft engine and gas turbine) R &D and mass production demands, forming a new generation of aircraft engine R &D and manufacturing capacity system with comprehensive function and excellent performance.
