2017 Yangtze River Economic Belt Sci-tech Resource Sharing Forum Opens in Changsha

　　The 2017 Yangtze River Economic Belt Sci-tech Resource Sharing Forum was held in Changsha on December 1. Representatives of sci-tech departments, sci-tech sector and business circles from 11 provinces and cities and 8 neighboring provinces sited along the Yangtze River Economic Belt gathered together to discuss plans to promote sci-tech resource sharing and innovation-driven development.

　　Director of Hunan Provincial Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association Lai Mingyong made a speech at the forum. He added, “The forum helps explore the synergy of sci-tech resources among provinces and cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and it is also an important initiative of Hunan to actively integrate into the Yangtze River Economic Belt.”

　　Promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major strategy made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Themed on "Sharing and Boosting Innovation", the forum combined keynote speeches with interaction, probing into such issues as the role of big data in promoting scientific research resource sharing, the construction and operation of sci-tech resources sharing service platform, and sci-tech resources sharing.

　　At the forum, the first council of the forum was announced. Shanghai R &D Public Service Platform Management Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hunan Institute of Science and Technology Information; Shanghai’s six industrial technology innovation alliances signed 17 strategic cooperation agreements with 9 Hunan industrial parks and scientific research institutes, involving electric vehicles, new materials, biomedicine, smart grid and other industries.
