Hunan Welcomes the 168th Global Fortune 500 Investor

　　The signing ceremony for Flex Changsha Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park was held in Changsha on January 29, 2018. Flex Ltd. became the 168th Fortune Global 500 investor in Hunan.

　　CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Director, Du Jiahao, and Hunan Governor, Xu Dazhe, met with Flex CEO Mike McNamara before the ceremony.

　　Provincial leaders Hu Henghua, Xie Jianhui, and Chen Wenhao also attended.

　　The Park will be located in the Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changsha, Hunan.

　　The total investment is five billion CNY. It will focus on promoting ‘Industry 4.0’ standards, and produce smartphones and other smart electronic products. Its estimated annual output value is expected to 10 billion CNY. Annual tax revenue will reach 150 million CNY. More than 10,000 jobs will be created. It will become a new mark of Hunan’s electronic information and intelligent manufacturing industries.

　　Governor Du welcomed Mike McNamara, and Flex investment in Hunan. Du noted that new Hunan provincial leadership had been selected at the recent First Session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People’s Congress. This new start with new leaders will lead Hunan to speed up its industrial project implementation, enhance cooperation with Global Fortune 500 companies, and promote high quality development in the province. Hunan will provide favorable environment and services to facilitate Flex’s business development and expects early achievements.

　　Changsha is an important national “Belt and Road” Initiative city. Mr. McNamara was deeply impressed by Changsha’s efficient government services. He expects to make the Park a model for Flex’s other industrial parks, create more jobs, and promote local economic and social development.
