Nineteen French higher education institutions presented a large number of higher education programmes available to Chinese students at the Spring Enrollment Exchange of French Higher Education Institutions in Changsha.

Campus France Chine reports that more than 11,000 Chinese students study in France every year. There are currently nearly 40,000 academic or non-academic degree Chinese students in France. Since 2015, China has been France’s largest source of overseas students.

“Most Chinese students study the social sciences, management, business administration, and engineering in France. Recently 43% of Hunan students choose language and literature programmes,” said Li Weisheng, an official with the Cultural Education and Cooperation Division of the French Consul-general in Wuhan. Li added, “The nineteen higher education institutions include one public university, sixteen business schools, and two specialized schools.”

In addition to the Spring Enrollment Exchange of French Higher Education Institutions, the French Embassy in China and Campus France Chine will co-host French study tours exhibitions in Hangzhou, Beijing, Changsha, Xiamen, and Shanghai in April, to promote cooperation between China and France.
