China Engineering Science and Technology Forum Opens in Zhuzhou

　　The 281st China Engineering Science and Technology Forum opened in Zhuzhou on November 8, 2018. Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Director of the Hunan Science and Technology Department, Lai Mingyong was present.

　　It is hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and CRRC. More than 300 Chinese and foreign guests attended the two-day event, including 20 CAE academicians. The participants discussed “smart” equipment technology, and advised on high-end “smart” equipment in China.

　　“Future cars will be self-driving, and accident-preventing wheeled robots”, said Li Deyi, CAE academician and a master in command automatization and AI technology. His team is devoted into a “driving brain” project.

　　Vice General Manager and Chief Engineer of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Feng Jianghua described the institute’s focus on intelligent train system development, based on intelligent driving and intellisense technology for products, manufacturing, and service.

　　Hunan was approved to build an innovative province, said Lai. Hunan takes innovation as a leading drive for development, and gives full play to its sci-tech and educational advantages, in order to promote high-quality development, and build a prosperous and happy Hunan. He hoped the academicians and experts will always support and concern over Hunan’s innovative development.
