　　“35th Anniversary of Hunan-Shiga Friendship Establishment” Celebrations Opening Ceremony Held in Changsha

On November 12, the “35th Anniversary of Hunan-Shiga Friendship Establishment” celebrations opening ceremony was held in Changsha.

　　The “35th Anniversary of Hunan-Shiga Friendship Establishment” celebrations opening ceremony was held in Changsha on November 12. Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe, Shiga Governor Taizō Mikazuki, and Ryuji Kawashima, chairperson of the Shiga Prefectural Assembly, delivered speeches. Governor Xu Dazhe met with the Shiga Prefecture Government delegation before the opening ceremony.

　　Chen Xiangqun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the executive vice governor, presided over the opening ceremony. One minister of the Embassy of Japan in China made a speech. Zhou Nong, Hunan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee deputy director, and Lai Mingyong, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the opening ceremony and the meeting.

　　Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe and Japanese Shiga Governor Taizō Mikazuki signed the Hunan-Shiga Friendly Exchanges Memorandum on the opening ceremony. Hunan-Shiga Cooperation Memorandum on Making Lakes’ Sustainable Management the Central Theme of World’s Water Resources, and Zhangjiajie-Koka Friendly City Relationship Establishment Agreement were also signed. People from all walks of life in Shiga, including those from the HEIWAD (China) Co., Ltd., donated poverty alleviation funds for Hunan’s education development.

　　Friendly City Changsha Forum, Hunan-Shiga Friendship Establishment Art Exhibition, and Dongting Lake-Pipa Lake Water Ecology Sustainable Development Dialogue Conference will also be held during the celebrations period.
