Inside the dragon cave of south Hunan’s Linwu County, a lifelike scaly stone dragon dives deeply into the water, unleashing the viewer's imagination. Experts’ measurements indicate that the stone dragon has a length of over 13 meters and diameters of 0.6 to 0.8 meters. The “dragon pool” it dives in covers an area of close to 100 square meters, with five meters in height, 30 meters in length, and six meters in width. Drawing on the local geological history of ocean turning into land, geologists speculated that this occurred over timescales of hundreds of millions of years and progressively led to the stone dragon.
