Xiangjiang New Area Nets First Fortune Global 500 Enterprise

The commencement ceremony of COFCO Coca-Cola Huazhong Beverages Limited was held in Wangcheng District of the national Xiangjiang New Area on August 6. With the first-phase investment of 324 million yuan and an overall investment of one billion yuan, the company will build nine production lines and is expected to be put into operation in October, 2016.
 
At the ceremony, Kong Yucheng, head of Wangcheng District, stated that COFCO Coca-Cola Huazhong, the first Global Fortune 500 enterprise to settle in Xiangjiang New Area, started construction only less than two months after signing the contract. It not only reflects the high efficiency of Global Fortune 500 enterprise but also embodies the fast development of the new area.
 
"The commencement of the company will improve the market layout of Coca-Cola Company and COFCO in central China, promote the in-depth development of market, thus to make more contributions to the prosperity of the region", said Henrique Braun, president of Coca-Cola Greater China and Korea.
