Zhangjiajie, Thailand Join Hands to Promote Tourism

　　On August 30, the promotion delegation to Southeast Asia of Wulingyuan District People’s Government of Zhangjaijie City of Hunan Province paid a visit to a tourism company in Bangkok, Thailand. The company has taken the lead in organizing Thai tourists to Zhangjiajie. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further strengthening publicity of tourism brands and travel routes, and promoting mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.

　　President of the Thai tourism company Wu Weilin stated that as an important partner of Zhangjiajie, his company will emphasize on Zhangjiajie’s tourist market expansion in Thailand and give full play to its advantages to promote tourism resources of Zhangjjiajie and its well developed travel routes. It will assist Zhangjiajie in enhancing communication with airlines to ensure the long-lasting and frequent direct chartered flights, added Wu.

　　Wan Qikun, depurty head of the Wulingyuan District, introduced preferential prices that will be offered in the core scenic areas of Zhangjiajie and warmly welcomed Thailand’s travel agencies to organize more locals to Zhangjiaji, especially for conference tours and incentive tours.

　　According to partial statistics, as of August 29, 2015, Wulingyuan scenic spot has received nearly 20,000 tourists from Thailand, witnessing a year-on-year increase of over 45%.
