First National Extreme Bicycle Race to Kick off in Zhangjiajie

The first extreme bicycle race of China will be launched on Nov. 6 at Huangshizhai of Zhangjiajie. The contest will be broadcasted live by ten national television stations including Channel U of Hunan TV and EBC (Eastern Television of Taiwan), as well as other online media such as Sina, Sohu, and Rednet. Meanwhile, many mass media like the People's Daily, Hunan Daily, Changsha Evening Newspaper, Zhangjiajie’s Official Tourism Website, and Zhangjiajie Daily will also follow up on the event.

Located at the Huangshizhai Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the circuit begins at the highest of Liuqige and ends in the parking lot of the lower station of Huangshizhai ropeway. Full of the underground drains, thistles, vines, thorns, crushed stones, diving platforms, and 3000 steps, it is considered the most complex and difficult mountain bicycle track nationwide.
