BAIC Zhuzhou Plant Completes 500,000 Vehicle Production

　　A ceremony was held on the afternoon of Nov. 10 to mark the 500,000th completed vehicle’s rolling off the production line at the Zhuzhou plant of BAIC Motor Corporation., Ltd. Vice Governor of Hunan Province Zhang Jianfei and BAIC Chairman Xu Heyi presented at the ceremony.

　　Zhuzhou plant is BAIC’S first production base of self-owned brand passenger vehicle. The plant produced its 100,000th completed vehicle in March, 2013, and then the 200,000th in November the same year. In this January, the 400,000th vehicle rolled off the production line, including Weiwang M30, new energy vehicle EV 200 and Senova X25.

　　The construction of the second factory of Zhuzhou plant is on BAIC’s schedule for this year, with 1/3 production capacity devoted to new energy vehicle manufacturing upon its anticipated completion in2017.

　　Vice Governor Zhang congratulated BAIC Zhuzhou plant on its achievements in recent years and called for larger production scale with intensified innovation in technology, management and institutional mechanism. He expected the early completion of the second factory of Zhuzhou plant, and moreover, demanded Zhuzhou government and the departments concerned to serve better for BAIC’s development in Hunan.
