Jingzhou Dong Minority Village Crowned Most Beautiful Village in Hunan

The photo taken on April 18, 2016 shows villagers of Yanjiao Dong Minority Village, Yaxiang Township, Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County are playing pipa happily. Built in the Song dynasty (960—1279), the Village boasts mysterious matriarchal culture, traditional relay station history, unique folk customs, and picturesque natural scenery. In recent years, it has been included in the first batch of national rural tourism poverty alleviation villages and national 3A scenic area; in this year, it has been listed in the Second Most Beautiful Minority Villages.
