Changsha Customs Opens Self-service Inquiry for Taxation on Cross-border Postal Packets

The Changsha Customs announced the opening of a cross-border postal packets inquiry service made via WeChat on June 14, 2016. Users may inquire about taxpayer information and taxable fees for the packets cleared by the Changsha Customs after inputting postal number on the WeChat public account “Changsha Customs 12360”. In the past, without such a self-service inquiry platform, recipients of cross-border packages could only wait for taxation message from the Customs, which might lead to a delay of Customs clearance.
