Changsha Marks World Blood Donor Day

On the occasion of 13th World Blood Donor Day, a large publicity campaign themed on “Share Life, Make Blood Donation” was held in Changsha on June 14. The campaign coincided with a commendation ceremony to reward model individuals, districts and counties, and 29 model units for voluntary blood donations. A total of 273,100 blood donations were made across the city from 2014 to 2015, with a volume of 98.1 tons of blood collected. Changsha has won the title of “National Model City of Voluntary Blood Donation” for four consecutive years.
