Yao Paper Quilling to Be Shown at Astana Expo Hunan Week

Paper quilling is the art of rolling narrow strips of paper into coils or scrolls, and arranging them to form elegant delicate tracings or filigree.

The photo, taken on July 17, shows several Yao youth making a score of paper-quilling works at the Paper Quill Museum in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County Vocational Technical Secondary School.

Their works will be exhibited during “Hunan Week” at the Astana Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan and showcase Yao paper-quilling art to the visitors from over 100 countries and 10 international organizations.
