Changsha to build Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle

According to Hunan provincial airport management group, the development plan for constructing Changsha Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle was initially announced for developing new air routes in Hunan province on July 14.

By 2021, new air routes from Changsha Huanghua International Airport will reach 160 cities in the Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle, including 51 overseas cities. To build Changsha as the center, the circle will cover 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Four-hour air routes network will reach major countries in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

The  Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle covers the regions which have the fastest growth and the most vigorous development of the world economy.

According to the data of the first half of 2019, the growth rate of international and regional passengers of Changsha Airport was higher than that of domestic passengers. Nearly 90% of global passengers came from the Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle.

This trend indicates that Changsha Airport will focus on the market for the development of international and regional routes of the  Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle in the next three years.

According to the plan, by 2021, the international and regional routes of Changsha's Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle will reach 20 countries and regions: Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, four countries in East Asia, ten countries in Southeast Asia and three countries in South Asia.

An Airline Alliance will be set up in September to promote the "Aviation plus Tourism" industry, by Hunan Provincial Airport Management Group and Hunan Provincial Office of Tourism. At that time, the Airline Alliance will cooperate with well-known online travel platforms to launch the Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle for airline discount products, to build an integrated development mechanism for airports, airlines, travel agencies and scenic spots.

According to the plan, the central task of the Four-hour Aviation Economic Circle is to build a regional international aviation hub in Hunan Province.

7月14日，省机场管理集团向记者透露，围绕我省构建长沙“四小时航空经济圈”的发展目标，已初步制定3年航线开发实施方案。

到2021年，长沙黄花国际机场将通达“四小时航空经济圈”160个城市，其中境外城市51个；构建以长沙为中心，覆盖我国31个省(区、市)和港澳台地区，到达东亚、东南亚、南亚主要国家的四小时航线网络。

这个趋势表明，长沙机场今后3年的市场重点将是“四小时航空经济圈”的国际和地区航线开发。

“四小时航空经济圈”，以长沙为中心，基本覆盖了当今世界经济增长速度最快、发展活力最足的地区。

按计划，到2021年，长沙“四小时航空经济圈”的国际和地区航线，将通达20个国家和地区：东亚4国、东南亚10国、南亚3国和中国港澳台地区。

省机场管理集团市场部相关负责人介绍，今年上半年，长沙机场的国际和地区旅客增幅高于国内旅客增幅；而国际和地区旅客中，有近9成来自“四小时航空经济圈”。

为加快“航空+旅游”产业发展，省机场管理集团与省文旅厅合作，计划于9月成立航旅联盟。届时，航旅联盟将与知名在线旅行平台合作，推出“四小时航空经济圈”的航旅优惠产品，构建机场、航空公司、旅行社、景区一体化发展机制。

按方案，“四小时航空经济圈”的中心任务是建设区域性国际航空枢纽。
