2022 China Red Tourism Exposition Held in Shaoshan

The 2022 China Red Tourism Exposition (Red Expo), themed "Implementing the 20th CPC National Congress Spirit and Forging Ahead on A New Journey", opened in Shaoshan on the morning of November 26.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

Hunan provincial leaders Yang Haodong and Qin Guowen; Jiangxi Provincial Vice Governor Chen Xiaoping; and, Hunan Secretary General Deng Qunce, were present.

Hosting the Red Expo is a concrete action to deeply implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress; shape tourism with culture and promote culture with tourism; and, push forward the comprehensive integration and development of red or revolutionary culture and tourism. It is also an important measure to continue to promote the construction of a demonstration zone for the integration and development of red tourism in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. The 2022 Red Expo will be held in Shaoshan City between November 26 and 28. It will hold a series of activities such as theme exhibitions, red tourism promotion conference, annual session of the China Red Tourism Promotion Alliance, and boutique tourist routes inspection tours. Featuring high-quality, multi-angle, and immersive publicity and promotion, it will present the red cultural resources, cultural and creative products, and smart cultural tourism achievements in 31 provinces, cities, and regions.

The "Shaoshan Declaration on Integration and Development of Red Tourism" was issued and the appointment letters of Hunan Provincial Red Tourism Promotion Ambassador were presented at the opening ceremony. Chen Yan and Mao Chunshan, delegates to the 20th CPC National Congress; Wen Huazhi, a national ethical role model; and, Wang Han, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and a host of Hunan Broadcasting System, were named as promotion ambassadors.

The Red Expo is a red tourism-themed exposition, which has been held alternately by Jiangxi and Hunan provinces since 2019. In recent years, the two provinces have signed the "Red Tourism Cooperation Framework Agreement in Hunan-Jiangxi Border Areas"; established the Red Culture and Tourism Community in the Hunan-Jiangxi Border Areas; and took the lead in advocating collaborative development of red tourism throughout the country. Both sides have worked together to develop red tourism products, carry out red education and training, and build red tourism brands, to jointly explore a new path for regional coordinated development between the two provinces.
