Ecology and Environment Minister Inspects Huayuan County

Huang Runqiu, minister of ecology and environment, led a team to Huayuan County on October 7, 2023. He inspected and instructed mining pollution comprehensive remediation and ecological protection and utilization. He asked to study and implement Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization; carry out pollution prevention and control; strengthen ecological environment protection and restoration; accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of development modes; and, make Hunan's contributions to the building of a Beautiful China.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, attended.

Guo Zhenggui, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Qu Hai, secretary general of the provincial government, joined the inspection.

On the afternoon of October 7, Minister Huang inspected Huayuan County. Governor Mao joined the inspection tour.

Minister Huang, Governor Mao, and others instructed the comprehensive improvement of environmental pollution and other work at Dongfang Mining Co., Ltd. in Huayuan County.

They inspected a leachate sewage treatment plant of manganese residue depot at Zhenxing Chemical Plant in Huayuan County.

They visited the home of an old lady named Shi Baya in Shibadong Village, Huayuan County.

They visited the exhibition hall of targeted poverty alleviation achievements in Shibadong Village.
