Hunan Ensures Basic Living Standards for Its Citizens

According to the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Price Administration on April 13, to alleviate the burden of basic living expense on low-income families and to ensure basic living standards in face of the rising prices, 491 million yuan provincial price regulation fund was allocated to the province’s impoverished citizens in urban and rural areas as one-off subsidy.

It has been learnt that the subsidized group covers low-income individuals and families, five-guarantee households and needy students in colleges and universities, subsidizing each individual 100 yuan and benefiting 4.915 million people in Hunan. With subsidies allocated to financial departments of counties, cities and districts of Hunan on April 4, the fund is expected to be submitted to the people’s private cards by the end of April 2014.
