On the evening of July 23, Secretary of the CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee Zhang Chunxian met in Urumchi with the Party and government delegation led by Governor of Hunan Province Du Jiahao. Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee Nur Bekri accompanied during the survey and attended the meeting.
From July 22 to 24, Du Jiahao led the Party and government delegation to survey the pairing assistance to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in Xinjiang and visited Hunan cadres aiding Xinjiang. During the survey, Du Jiahao and the delegation went to Turpan area, the paring-assistance of Hunan Province, including Shanshan County, Turpan City, Toksun County, and the Regiment 221, 12th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. They visited schools, enterprises, farmers’ living places and farmlands to make field survey on the pairing assistance work. The Work Conference on Hunan Province Paring Assistance in Turpan Area was held to listen to opinions and suggestions on Hunan’s pairing assistance from local cadres and people face to face. On behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan Provincial People’s Government, the delegation donated 10 million yuan as kindergarten construction fund and 22 school buses. Besides, Hunan’s related enterprises signed purchase and sale agreements with local enterprises on agricultural products including grapes.
