7th Cross-Strait Writers Exchange Visit Activity Launched in Changsha

On the afternoon of August 21, the 7th Cross-Strait Writers Exchange Visit Activity was launched in Changsha. During the activity, over 30 writers from Hunan and Taiwan will go to western Hunan, Xiangtan, Yueyang, and Changsha for survey and creation, experiencing Hunan's art history and charm of reform and development and having a discussion meeting.
 
Li Weiwei, director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, announced the launching of the activity and delivered a speech. President of China Tide Foundation and Head of Taiwan writers group, members of the Taiwan writers group, representative writers of Hunan, and chiefs of relevant institutions directly under the administration of Hunan Provincial People's Government attended the launching ceremony.
 
The activity, jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and China Tide Foundation, is a cross-Strait cultural exchange activity. Since 2006, this event has been hosted for six times, with direct participants exceeding 150. The activity aims to promote inheritance and innovation of Chinese culture and facilitate peaceful development of cross-Strait relationship via exchange visit and creation communications between cross-Strait writers.
