On September 7, more than 1,500 tourists from Changsha, Yongzhou, Shaoyang and other cities joined the “Longtou Banquet” in the Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County, enjoying a “Miao-style” Mid-Autumn Festival.

　　“Longtou Banquet”, as a grand feast to treat guests in the Miao culture which is usually held when respected guests are visiting Miao’s villages. The hospitable Miao people connecting their tables together (looking like a long dragon) would offer their best food and drink to the distinguished guests, who are expected to sit on the seat of honor (called “Longtou” in Chinese). The banquet involves a lot of toast, eating, drinking, singing and dancing.
