8th Hunan Minority Traditional Sports Meeting to Be Held in Yueyang

　　On the afternoon of October 14, the press conference for the 8th Hunan Minority Traditional Sports Meeting was held in Changsha. The event is scheduled to be held in Yueyang from October 23 to 27, and will include 8 competitive events like high–foot racing, crossbow shooting and swing, and three demonstration events focusing on athletics, techniques and comprehensive items, totaling 58 specific items.

　　The opening and closing ceremony of the sports meeting are planned to be held in Yueyang City Sports Center and Yueyang City Culture and Art Exhibition Center. All competition items will be held at four competition zones, namely Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Hunan Vocational College for Nationalities, Yueyang Vocational Technical College, and Yueyang Municipal Stadium. Over 3,000 athletes, coaches, judges and staff of 31 delegations from the province’s 14 cities and prefecture and 17 national counties, cities and districts will participate in the event.
